How to take it

Do you use pre-methylated folate in Lypo-Spheric® B Complex Plus?

Yes. Folic acid and folate in foods are not biologically active and must be converted to 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) to benefit the body.
Conversion is a multi-step process in which the enzyme methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) is critical. Many people, due to genetics, have polymorphic forms of this enzyme and do not produce adequate or effective MTHFR necessary to make the biologically active form of folate that plays a key role in numerous bodily processes.

We use Quatrefolic^® in the supplement because it provides the metabolic reduced folate form, (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate, that is ready for use in the body without the need for conversion and the MTHFR enzyme.

How should I store Lypo-Spheric® B Complex Plus?

Store at room temperature. Do not freeze or place the product in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.

Is this Lypo-Spheric® B Complex Plus supposed to be runny?

Yes, the B Complex Plus is a different consistency than some other Lypo-Spheric^® products. It is runnier and does not maintain its blob shape as well as those other products.

What is benfotiamine?

Benfotiamine is a fat-soluble derivative of thiamine. That means that your body can store Benfotiamine while it cannot store its natural, water-soluble counterpart. Fat-solubility also enables Benfotiamine to penetrate more tissues and organs to confer its benefits than water-soluble thiamine. Independent research has proven that Benfotiamine can raise plasma levels of thiamine 5X higher than supplementing with natural thiamine. We use Benfotiamine in our product because it is more bioavailable, thus more potent.
